Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences
Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences is a restorative school in the Indian condition of Karnataka, partnered to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Jayanagar, Bangalore.
History;
Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences was built up in 1980 by the Vokkaligara Sangha. The Vokkaligara Sangha took a formal choice on 2.9.1979 to begin a therapeutic school from the year 1980–81 and connected for consent to the enlistment center, Bangalore University.
On 30 November 1980 the Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri. R Gundu Rao established the framework stone of the Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital in the premises of the Sangha and reported the award of empty area in Banashankari to be utilized for the development of school building and lodgings. From there on, the Sangha named Dr M Basavaraju, educator of Physiology as the central on 1 January 1981 and other staff by March 1981 and classes were begun routinely from 16 March 1981. From that point forward 16 March is watched each year as KIMS Day.
The Silver Jubilee Celebrations of the Institute was held in 2006. A school working to stamp the centennial festivals of the Vokkaligara Sangha and the Silver Jubilee of KIMS has been worked at the Banashankari Campus.

The school has two grounds. The healing facility and clinical offices are on the VV Puram grounds while the pre-clinical and para-clinical divisions are on the Banashankari grounds. Transport between the grounds is given.

Sports;

The school has two intracollegiate sports fests. They are the Kutgal Cup (cricket) and Dinamani Cup (football).
